Here are three recent watercolor paintings I did. A Cardinal, Downy Woodpecker and Tufted Titmouse. They were quite fun!

Dragon & Moth

A new illustration that will hopefully run as the Five Ghosts #3 reprint cover. Either way, I was happy with how it came out.

Needlework 2

Here are two of my most recent needlework projects. The Blue Mountain butterfly and the Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia). They're small, three inches to be exact. It's nice working on that scale because you finish very quickly. I'll also probably add in the scientific name to the Cecropia moth at some point in the future.

Bookmark of the Month Club

February: Vladimir Nabokov
Lolita / Pale Fire

I'm starting a Bookmark of the Month Club, in which I make/print a bookmark each month. Here is my bookmark for February, based on Nabokov's Lolita and Pale Fire. Both are novels that I love immensely. They are quite different, but both have a voice that's clearly Nabokov. If you want one, I'm selling them for $1 on my Etsy site here.

You can also check out/buy January's bookmark here.

Five Ghosts

I've been lucky enough to have been able to work as the colorist for Image Comics upcoming miniseries Five Ghosts, written by Frank Barbiere and illustrated by Christopher Mooneyham. It's been quite fun working as a colorist. Color is something that really interests me but a lot of time, like in Iron, I want to use color very specifically. In Five Ghosts, I get to be much more adventurous. Above is my pin up for the '13 ECCC variant. Below is the cover of issue #3, then one of my favorite pages from issue #1. The book hits stores this spring, and please, check it out. You can pre-order the first issue here.

A personal project which features illustrations of classical composers.

I ended up printing them as a double sided bookmark. I put them up on my etsy shop, if you're interested in grabbing one.
